Red Ants Celebrate Rural Montana, Opportunity for Road-Trippers to Win VIP Prize Package
(White Sulphur Springs, Mont.) -  Once again, giant red ants are popping up along the highways and byways of Montana as the 7th Red Ants Pants Music Festival kicked off its rural Montana red ant scavenger hunt today.  This year, the “MontANTA” competition will feature enormous hand-sewn red ants posted on small businesses in the following communities:
-Big Timber
-Cut Bank
-White Sulphur Springs

As the festival heads into its 7th year, organizers are aiming to spotlight the values and the mission of the Red Ants Pants Foundation. Proceeds from the festival have helped create more than $85,000 in grants to support rural, agricultural communities and women’s leadership projects.

“It’s an incredibly fun way to encourage folks to support rural communities throughout the state while helping festival attendees more fully understand the contributions they are making in support of the Red Ants Pants Foundation every time they buy a ticket,” said Sarah Calhoun, Red Ants Pants Music Festival Producer & Red Ants Pants Foundation Executive Director.

Road trippers who are able to take photos with two of the five “Red” banners across the state will be entered to win a VIP prize package including:

** Two VIP passes (A $1,000 value which includes complimentary beverages and shaded seating in a prime location near the stage in the VIP tent furnished by Bozeman-based interior design and furniture store, The Perch)
** Gift certificates for featured food vendors at the festival
** Two Red Ants Pants Music Festival snap shirts of their choice

The Red Ants Pants Music Festival is produced by and benefits the nonprofit Red Ants Pants Foundation which, to date, has provided more than $85,000 in grants to projects that support women’s leadership and enrich rural, agricultural communities. At the Red Ants Pants Music Festival, folks from far and wide gather in a cow pasture for four nights and three days of music, community and awe-inspiring sunsets. This year, The Bellamy Brothers, Lucinda Williams, Asleep At The Wheel, Shooter Jennings & Waymore’s Outlaws, Turnpike Troubadours, Parker Millsap, James McMurtry and many more will take to the Festival stage. Full lineup here.

The Red Ants Pants Music Festival is sad to announce that the Waifs from Australia had to cancel their US tour this summer due to health problems. We wish them well and promise to try to bring them back next year.

However, we have some great news that our favorite Irish band is taking their place.

I Draw Slow, which just hit #1 on the Irish Charts, is coming all the way from Dublin just for you at Red Ants Pants Fest. Festival producer, Sarah Calhoun had the opportunity to see them live at Merlefest in April and it was somewhat life changing. Led by the brother and sister powerhouse, this band is internationally renowned. They have a combination of compelling songwriting, exuberant live performances, and passion for tradition that will not disappoint.
Join us July 27th – 30th in White Sulphur Springs. Come connect with good folks and celebrate rural Montana.

The festival’s new Twitter personality @RedAntsPantsAnt will be offering clues and photos to encourage travelers to enjoy all of the roads that lead to White Sulphur Springs, Montana. #MontANTa, #RedAntsPantsAnt, and #RedAntsPantsMusicFestival.
