It Was A Company Town
We'll be doing some "Armchair Traveling" this evening (Tuesday) up at the Marias Heritage Center here in Shelby as we continue with the book, "Somers, Montana: The Company Town," during our Tuesday evening Montana History reading at the Heritage. I submit that this is one fantastic read edited by Henry Elwood. It's all here including an album of photographs of the Flathead Lake Steamboats. The town of Somers has been a matter of curiosity for more than a quarter of a century...a curiosity shared by both Flathead Valley residents as well as tourists who travel through this part of northwestern Montana on their way to & from Glacier National Park. See you tonight at 6 o'clock SHARP for MORE Montana History at the Heritage.
