At last count, I have 169 friends on Facebook, and I'll have to admit, I don't even know most of them, so I found this article interesting. Not that I didn't know most of it, but it's good to be reminded now and again.

It is so tempting to use pets' names, kids' names and dates with meaning as passwords, and to use the same password for multiple accounts. After all, if I don't use something I can remember easily, I'd have to write it down and keep it in a place I can find it, which would be near the computer, which defeats the purpose of even having a password! Ditto for telling the computer to "keep me logged in". I might as well leave a note on the front door telling the neighborhood burglar that the spare key is under the mat and the jewelry is in the top dresser drawer (neither of which is true, for the record.)
