Rehberg to Host Ag Forum

U.S. Rep. Denny Rehberg (R-MT) will host a roundtable forum on agricultural issues Thursday afternoon, April 5th at MSU-Northern in Havre. Ag producers and the public are invited to attend.

Topics to be discussed include ag industry opportunities and challenges, from rising fuel costs and bio-fuels to increased export opportunities, natural disasters and federal regulations.

Those scheduled to take part include:

Greg Kegel, Havre – Dean of the College of Technical Sciences, MSU-Northern

Dale Schuler, Ft Benton – Montana Grains Foundation

Allen Merrill, Big Sandy – Montana Farmers Union

Brian Eggebrecht, Malta – Montana Grain Growers Association

Bruce Wright, Belgrade – Montana Farm Bureau Federation

Ken Johnson, Conrad – Montana Farm Bureau Federation

Dave McEwan, Galata – Montana Wool Growers Association

Leon LaSalle, Havre – Montana Stockgrowers Association

Darrin Boss, Havre – Northern Agricultural Research Center

The agriculture roundtable will be held at the Hensler Auditorium, Applied Technology Center at MSU-Northern. The program begins at 3:00pm Thursday.
