Golden Triangle producers are invited to attend a Forage Seminar featuring MSU Extension Forage Specialist, Dr. Emily Glunk, on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 - 9 a.m. to noon Glacier County Courthouse Annex – Cut Bank, MT

9 – 9:30 a.m. Hay sampling and visually ranking forages exercise
9:30 – 10 a.m. Interpreting a forage analysis for livestock feeding and marketing of hay
10 – 10:30 a.m. Ration balancing for livestock
10:30 – 10:45 a.m. Break
10:45 -11:30 a.m. Hail, nitrates, and frost – Their effect on forages and how to manage damaged forages
11:30 – noon Cover crops for late grazing
