The U.S. Small Business Administration’s $499,488 State Trade Expansion Program grant will be used to sponsor Montana businesses at international tradeshows, which develops meaningful relationships between Montana companies and international buyers, leading to business growth. It’ll also support ongoing training and technical assistance for those small business exporters.

“Montana-made products are innovative and sought after,” Commerce Director Tara Rice said, “that’s why we support businesses along their path of startup to international exporter. Montana exports hit a record $1.65 billion last year, strengthening the state’s economy and fueling business growth.”

Montana’s top five commodity trading partners last year were Canada, Republic of Korea, China, Belgium, and Japan.
