BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) — Sears Holdings is closing 10 Sears stores and 68 Kmart stores nationwide, including the Kmart in Billings.

No other Montana stores were on the closure list released Thursday. All but two of the stores will close in late July.

The Billings Gazette reports (http://bit.ly/1SB39Va) a liquidation sale will begin soon at the Billings Kmart.

The company declined to say how many workers will be affected by the store closures, but said a majority of the jobs are part-time positions.

Sears Holdings had announced in February that it was going to accelerate the closing of unprofitable stores, taking into account store performance and the timing of lease expirations.
