Kelsea Ballerini is calling "Dibs" on a second gold single. The rising star's second single has been certified gold by the RIAA, signifying sales of 500,000 units.

Ballerini's debut single, "Love Me Like You Mean It," was also certified gold -- but hopefully, her "Dibs" plaque will fare better than the one she received for her first song.

"When I got my gold record for "Love Me," I got it the same day that my car broke down, which happens all the time, and I put it in my backseat. I brought it to the car shop, and then I got it back from the car shop, to find out they left my car in a sunny parking lot," Ballerini recounted during an event celebrating the success of "Dibs. "And my gold record is now hanging on my wall, completely melted down to the bottom ... and it’s beautiful. So I’m really excited to have a new gold record, that’s not warped and weird!”

Ballerini released “Dibs” in July. Shortly before its release, “Love Me Like You Mean It” hit No. 1 and set a new record as the first the first debut single from a solo female artist to top the chart since Carrie Underwood‘s “Jesus, Take the Wheel” in 2006.

Ballerini is currently promoting her third single, “Peter Pan.” The song appears on her debut album, The First Time, alongside "Dibs" and "Love Me Like You Mean It." All of Ballerini's music is available via iTunes.
