BOZEMAN— Jelly Roll will play at Montana State University’s Brick Breeden Fieldhouse on Wednesday, Sept. 6, as part of a newly announced 2023 tour.

MSU is one of 44 stops on Jelly Roll’s Backroad Baptism tour, which kicks off July 28 in Southaven, Mississippi, travels to the West Coast and finishes Oct. 14 in Tampa, Florida. Jelly Roll will be joined by opening acts Struggle Jennings, Caitlynne Curtis and Josh Adam Meyers.

Originally from Tennessee, Jelly Roll, whose full name is Jason DeFord, is a rapper, vocalist and songwriter who performs various musical styles, including Southern rock, R&B instrumentals, country-inspired acoustic numbers, and rap on albums like 2020's “A Beautiful Disaster” and 2021's “Ballads of the Broken.” The most recent album broke into the Billboard 200 and the U.S. Indie Top 30 in 2022.
