Glacier National Park Reminds Public About Logan Pass Access in September
Logan Pass will be accessible only from St. Mary entrance starting September 16
West Glacier, MT – Due to this year’s ongoing pavement preservation project, Going-to-the-Sun Road between Avalanche Creek and Logan Pass will be closed September 16-29.
Logan Pass will remain accessible from the park’s St. Mary Entrance. Avalanche Lake Trail also will remain accessible, along with other trailheads west of Avalanche Creek.
Visitors also should be aware that all water at the Logan Pass Visitor Center is now off for the winter season. Porta-toilets will be available, but the visitor center will have no running water or flushing toilets until the water is turned back on next spring. Hikers in the Logan Pass area should bring their own water or water treatment devices to filter water along the trails.
