Athlete of the Week

Our KSEN /K96 – Bozeman Trophy Athlete of the Week didn’t always have the biggest offensive numbers, but Conrad Cowgirls Coach Cory Shepherd considers her one of the best defensive players in the 1B district.

And with that said, Conrad Jr. Taylor Evans did have one of her biggest offensive games, along with the defense in Conrad’s win over Choteau in the Divisional Tournament.

In that contest she put up 15 points, had 6 steals and 8 rebounds.  Possibly the biggest achievement, according to Shepherd was her man-to-man coverage against Choteau’s Ada Bieler who’s been consistently putting up numbers in the 30’s but Evans and the Cowgirls kept her in the 20’s and that’s better than most.

Evans had 4 steals and 6 rebounds in the Poplar game Sat. morning, a game that the Cowgirls were in right down to the end.   Taylor Evans is also a talented Volleyball player and a legitimate star on the track.
