Facebook Trend – What Song Was Number One the Day You Were Born?

Bette Midler John Travolta Carl Douglas
Sanctuary Records/Paramount Pictures/Warner Bros.

If you’ve been on Facebook in the past couple days, you may have noticed a fun new trend: people are posting the song that was number one on the charts the day they were born.

The meme basically goes like this:

1) Find the song that was number one the week you were born.

2) Find that video on YouTube.

3) Post it to your Facebook wall with no shame.

With that in mind, we took an office poll, checked a site that archives Billboard charts, and found our own. We issue them here with a standard disclaimer that they may not reflect our actual modern-day musical tastes — or maybe they do and we just don’t want to admit it.

Also, NO CALLING US OLD, punks. Tell us your song in the comments!
