We finished reading the Mary Ronan book, "Girl From The Gulches", last Tuesday night during Montana History up at the Marias Heritage Center here in Shelby. They all DIED at the end...Mary, her husband Peter Ronan & the rest of the characters. I'm going to try to find some nonfiction Montana History books where the characters live on forever. Good luck on this deal! In the meantime, we'll begin award winning Helena author Lenore McKelvey Puhek's 4th book, "No Times For Tears" which is a continuation of the Hicks & Frey families. This one looks like another "Prize for Puhek." Dr. Amelia Martin gives birth to her son, Joseph James; Sarah Marie meets her cowboy & lives a lifetime on a homestead: Beaulah continues to work for Amelia; Mrs. Mutchnik survives her accident; & Josie recovers in a surprising way after her husband was killed in a horse runaway. We've all thoroughly enjoyed Lenore's 1st 3 historical novels based upon stories about real people who came to live & work in Montana Territory & I've been anxiously awaiting for Lenore to complete her latest, "No Times for Tears". Pukek's back in the Buick & we're on our way to the Marias Heritage Center to read MORE Montana History tonight (Tuesday) at 6!
