Taylor Swift and Conor Kennedy may have ended their romance a few weeks ago, but the singer's love affair with his famous political family rages on. In fact, it appears that Swift and her former beau remain in touch and on friendly terms, so things won't be awkward when they both attend a Kennedy family event next month where Swift will be the guest of honor.

The New York Post reports that Swift is still tight with the Kennedy family, which profusely professed its love for her during her brief relationship with young Conor, 18. Because of those close ties, she will indeed attend the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights’ Ripple of Hope Awards Dinner at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square Dec. 3, where she will be honored by the family. If her ex can shift around his school commitments at Deerfield Academy, he will also be in attendance while she is feted.

It won't be an uncomfortable, avoid-each-other-like-the-plague scenario, since the two remain in touch, communicating by the phone, according to a source. They split because she has a new album to promote for the foreseeable future and he is a student.

Who knows, maybe Swift and Kennedy will rekindle their romance at the event? You never, like, ever, know.
