Sunday Morning on Northwestern Outdoors Radio
There is a lot of fishing going on this week on Northwestern Outdoors Radio. Tony Floor previews the Northwest Salmon Derby Series and gives you advice on where to go and how to catch some of those winter Chinook salmon swimming around the San Juan Islands right now. Lance Merz has got a hot lake in Western Washington for kokanee on an extended Mack's Minute and a surefire lure to catch them there. From there we head to the Mid-Columbia River where Jim Moore, owner of Bottom Gun Guide Service, talks about the chances you'll have in the coming weeks to catch and keep a sturgeon or tie into a trophy walleye. Speaking of sturgeon, Guide Nate Luther is back as well to preview the spring catch and release sturgeon fishery available on the Snake River in Hells Canyon. Last but not least on the fishing front, we've got a report from the Stonefly Fly Shop in Butte about winter trout fishing in Western Montana and the folks at MarDon Resort have got the scoop on walleye, perch and trout fishing in the Columbia Basin.
