Sacré bleu!

It's one of the great traditions that sets the National Hockey League apart from all other pro sports. Every player on the championship team gets to spend a day with the Stanley Cup.  Michael Ryder invited some friends over to his place to show it off.  The trophy was set up on a folding table, which promptly did what folding tables sometimes do. See the video here. Did I mention that Boston released Ryder? It had nothing to do with denting the cup...honest.  Ryder signed with Dallas last month as an unrestricted free agent.  Coincidentally, the Cup suffered similar damage back in 1999 when the then-champion Stars were passing it around. To this day only those responsible know what happened, and they're still not talking.
