From the Associated Press this morning:

The National Park Service is seeking
Montana homesteaders and their descendants to commemorate next
year's 150th anniversary of the Homestead Act.
Montana was one of 30 homesteaded states, with more than 150,000
successful homestead claims representing about a third of the
state's total acreage.
Anniversary events will be held at Homestead National Monument
of America in Beatrice, Neb. Volunteers from each homestead state
are needed to carry their state's flag for a commemoration event on
May 20 and a Homestead Day's Parade on June 16.
