Recently, a man from Orem, Utah was away from his house when he received a call on his cell phone from his home number. But instead of a voice on the other end, he heard nothing but banging and scratching noises and began to fear his home was being burglarized. So he called the cops. But when they arrived there was no indication of a robbery or foul play of any kind.

Then, when the man got home, he realized what had happened. His dog had grabbed the house phone and buried it in the backyard. While he was doing so, he hit the redial button and contacted his owner's cell phone.

The man called the cops and told them what had happened. Mystery solved.  Now the dilemma is harnessing the dog's ability to use a phone for something more productive. Like ordering pizza. Or talking to the man's mother-in-law.
