‘Love Boat’ Cruise Ship Breaks Hearts As It Sails to Scrapyard

ABC Television / FanClubCruises.com

Poor Gopher! The ‘Love Boat’ will sail for one last time as it heads to Turkey, where it will be demolished.

We knew it as Pacific Princess, the cruise ship manned by Captain Stubing and crew on the classic ABC TV show ‘Love Boat’. The hit comedy ran for nine years, and the actual ship sailed for even more, until it was replaced in 2002.

A Turkish demolition company bought the 600-passenger ship for around $3.3 million. The 19,903-ton, Pacific Princess was docked in Genoa, Italy, where it languished for more than a year. It will now be torn apart at the scrapyard its headed to.

Once last time, let’s sing it all together! Also, pay close attention for a guest appearance by a certain Real Housedrunk Wife.
