The winner of the 2014 ACM Award’s New Artist of the Year is … Justin Moore!

Before Florida Georgia Line announced the New Artist of the Year award, no one knew what was going to happen. Especially not Moore who, after hearing his name called, bowed his head and took a couple of seconds to compose himself while fellow nominees, Kip Moore and Brett Eldredge cheered him on.

With tears in his eyes, Moore took to the stage and laughed. “I was beginning to think there might be a height requirement for this award.”

After sincere thanks to his management, record label and country music radio, Moore said “and last but not least, [thank you to] my beautiful wife Kate, who’s here tonight, and Ella and Kennedy, I love y’all.” The crowd erupted as Moore choked up again and said “I’ll never forget this!”
