Today's Tuesday, & that means tonight, I'll be up at the Marias Heritage Center to read & share more Montana History. We're all "caught up" in the book, "Goodbye Wifes and Daughters," the riveting story of the February 27, 1943 coal mine explosion, fire & disaster down at the Bearcreek mine in which 73 of the 78 men on duty died that awful day in the mine. Bearcreek was once thriving Montana coal town located near Red Lodge. The names of those men killed reverberated across the United States with even a mention in the New York Times. We're about a third of the way through the book, & it's one of those books so compelling that one doesn't want see end! See you this evening at 6 o'clock SHARP at the Heritage for Montana History.
