I don't have to tell you what a fine writer, Glacier County's Kari Lynn Dell is...we already know by reading her column in the Pioneer Press! But now, she's gone & written a wonderful book, "The Long Ride Home." David Parsons is the protagonist in this dyed-in-the-wool Montana story. Mr. Parsons comes in search of his missing horse & winds up losing his heart. No doubt about it...it's a long, hard ride to the top of the rodeo world,& for David Parsons, an even longer ride home...unless he can find a trail that leads to both! Kari, of course, is a native of north central Montanan, a 3rd generation ranch-raised cowgirl, horse trainer & rodeo competitor, most recently the 2013 Canadian Senior Pro Rodeo Association Breakaway Roping Champion. She attended her 1st rodeo at 2 years old & has existed in a state of horse-induced poverty ever since. Kari resides on the family ranch over on the Blackfeet Reservation with a view of Glacier National Park from her writing desk. The only thing I can think of that would be better would be a writing desk with a view of the Glacier Peaks Casino! Check out Kari Dell's "The Long Ride Home" from Samhain Publishing, Ltd. @: www.samhainpublishing.com, & visit her website at: www.KariLynnDell.com & learn 1st hand about ranch life on the east slope of the Rockies. You'll love the book, GREAT work, Kari!
