Cattlemen from neighboring states are banding together to help ranchers in South Dakota rebuild their herds devastated by an early October blizzard. Ty Linger of Glendive has set up an organization he calls "Heifers for South Dakota", and is in the process of having it designated a 501(c)3 non-profit.
