Uggie the dog has had quite a year. The plucky Jack Russell Terrier appeared in ‘Water For Elephants’ and was a major scene stealer in ‘The Artist,’ which eventually won the Academy Award for Best Picture. For his work in ‘The Artist’ the nine-year-old pup took Top Dog at the first annual Golden Collar Awards. There is a new awards ceremony to add to the list of Hollywood events this year. For the first time, on February 13th, the unsung heroes of the movies will be celebrated at the Golden Collar Awards.
It's a beautiful book and presentation and the author of "Dreams with Horses" will be my special guest tomorrow (Friday) afternoon at 4:35 on the Puffman Show. She's Rachel M. Jessop and she lives across the mountains over in Hamilton, Montana
They say that beauty is skin deep. Apparently, the same goes for cuteness, which is why the ASPCA’s Meet Your Match pet pairing program — designed to match pet and human personalities — has been such a success.
Another day, another hot new internet craze. First came “planking,” followed by “Tebowing” and most recently “breading cats.” And now, “Lion King-ing,” the act of raising a pet into the air like Simba in ‘The Lion King,’ is all the rage.
The waiting is almost over and the competitors are drooling in anticipation. The big game is on Sunday. Rawhide bones are being anxiously destroyed, but soon ears will perk and heads will tilt when the first squeaky toy is tossed for 2012′s Puppy Bowl VIII on Animal Planet, Sunday February 5th at 3PM Eastern/Pacific.
