Following a stunning performance at the 2015 American Music Awards, Carrie Underwood took the stage one more time to accept the award for Favorite Country Female Artist, a tough category this year, as it also included Miranda Lambert and breakout star Kelsea Ballerini.

Underwood walked the aisle gracefully in a short, glittering rose-gold dress, a long cape flowing behind her. First she thanked the fans for the award, adding, “I thank God for you … and country music."

Her genuine gratitude overflowed as she continued to reiterate just how thankful she was for all of her blessings. “I’m so, so thankful,” she added. “To my husband and my little Isaiah, you guys are the best things in my life. I have so much to be thankful for."

The star went on to tell the audience she couldn’t wait to see everyone on the road next year for the Storyteller Tour, then concluded with, “Thank you, fans! You’re awesome!"

Earlier in the show, Underwood performed a new song she co-wrote from her record titled “Heartbeat,” giving the song its television debut. The singer has been gearing up for the Storyteller Tour, which kicks off in 2016, and recently hosted the 2015 CMA Awards with Brad Paisley, where she also performed the lead-off hit single from Storyteller, “Smoke Break.”
