Superbowl XLV was so good, we might have overlooked the commercials were it not for all the pre-game hype, including one pretty boring hour-long special Saturday evening. Now the three-million-dollars-for-30-seconds-of-airtime question is ... which Super Bowl ad ruled 2011? Here’s our stab at this years 10 best Super Bowl commercials."/>"

My personal favorite was the Volkswagon Passat ad, featuring the pint-size Darth Vader. His mom will not be thwarted by "the Force", and dad messes with the poor kid's head.

A close second would have to be awarded to Bridgestone Tires for it's good "carma" between driver and beaver. Not as funny as last year's "whale of a bachelor party", but a clever little feel-good spot.

For me, those two were far ahead of the field, and they were both so positive I hesitate to name a bronze medal winner, since it would probably go to Snickers. Was I the only person who enjoyed seeing Roseanne Barr taken out by the swinging log just a little too much?
