The Wiegand Family Wheat Farm that is! It's Shelby Field Day at the Wiegand Family Wheat Farm tomorrow (Wednesday) from 10 AM until 3. Frank Antwi, Ph.D, from Western Triangle Ag Research Center will be there tomorrow presenting information on Integrated Pest Management. But wait! There's MORE! Other topics presented Wednesdy will include soil health, bees & bee keeping, Sainfoin & pollinator planting, & seed production. Wednesday's Field Day promises to be a banner day with a Rainfall Simulator with Eric Watson, bees & keeping with John Wiegand & Bob Hermance, pollinator planting, sainfoin planting, & seed production by John Wiegand & Jay Hould & Integrated Pest Management by Frank Antwi from Western Triangle Center. To get to the Wiegand Farm, go west of Shelby on Highway 2 approximately 5 miles (between mile marker 273 & 274.) Turn north (right) off Highway 2 onto Wiegand Road.
