I'll be back at the Marias Heritage Center here in Shelby tonight (Tuesday) to read & share more Montana History as we continue with our current read, "Stump Town to Ski Town; The Story of Whitefish, Montana." As early as March 1904, the roads to Kalispell & Columbia Falls were shortened, & in September of 1904, the local Whitefish newspaper ran articles pushing the need for wagon roads around Whitefish so that farmers could bring their produce to town & make purchases there. I'm looking forward to "Whitefish" Montana History this evening up at the Heritage. See you at 6 o'clock SHARP!
