A: Herbie!

Herbie was a tree.

Herbie was a landmark Yarmouth, Maine.

At over 100 feet tall, Herbie was one of the tallest elm trees in the country, and when Herbie had to be felled after numerous bouts with dutch elm disease, the town came up with a novel idea to preserve his memory. Local artists and artisans have turned Herbie's wood into furniture, art pieces, and even musical instruments, which will be auctioned off this weekend to benefit the town's Tree Trust.
