Signs of Spring!

Any day now, I expect to see a seed catalog appear in my mailbox. I take it as a sign that somewhere, someone knows that winter will not last forever. (The song "Mr. Postman" just popped into my head...please, Mr. Postman, look and see if there's a catalog in your bag for me....)

Today I received an email from Ginger at Yankee Publishing with word of a new cookbook from The Old Farmer's Almanac.  The cookbook features more than 325 ways to use home-grown produce, plus tips and hints on growing vegetables, kitchen herbs, fruits and edible flowers. There's even a chapter dedicated to preserving your bumper crop.
