BOZEMAN — The Montana State University College of Agriculture and Montana Agricultural Experiment Station have announced the dates for their annual agricultural field days, which will take place at research centers around the state.

“Summer field days are some of our favorite community events of the year,” said Sreekala Bajwa, MSU’s vice president for agriculture and dean of the agriculture college. “They provide a key opportunity for engagement with producers, alumni and friends of Montana State University and always provide critical feedback on our work and inspiration for ongoing scientific advancements for Montana agriculture.”

MSU’s Department of Research Centers comprises facilities in Bozeman, Conrad, Corvallis, Creston, Havre, Huntley, Moccasin and Sidney. Seven of those locations will host field days in June or July, where visitors can meet faculty, learn about ongoing and future research projects, and tour facilities. Discussion topics will include plant breeding and variety testing, livestock management and production, precision agriculture, irrigation and input management, and more.

The field day at the Central Agricultural Research Center in Moccasin has been canceled for 2023 but will return in 2024.
