HELENA – The Montana Office of Public Instruction is hosting the 4th Virtual Teacher Job Fair this afternoon and Saturday. This virtual format allows teachers and Montana school districts to connect. This Job Fair is offered free of charge to both candidates and districts. Currently, there are 1,173 job listings for teachers on the Office of Public Instruction’s (OPI)  Jobs for Teachers site. Many districts throughout Montana are seeking to fill positions in:

  • Career and Technical Education
  • Special Education
  • Math
  • English
  • Science
  • Health and PE
  • School Counseling
  • Social Studies
  • World Languages
  • School Counseling
  • Elementary Education
  • School Administration

“After 23 years of being a classroom teacher, I understand that student learning and success are best supported by quality educators in a partnership with families,” said Superintendent Elsie Arntzen. “When classes begin this fall, filling the role of a teacher is a shared priority with our Montana schools. These virtual job fairs allow districts to easily match and immediately hire qualified candidates.”

The first three Virtual Job Fairs combined had:

  • Over 50 participating school districts
  • Over 300 qualified teacher candidates

Districts can conduct on-the-spot interviews and candidates may be hired directly from this event. All candidate information is linked to the state licensing system, TeachMontana (TMT), which allows for ease of licensing. The Job Fair runs Friday, August 12 from 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM and on Saturday, August 13 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. To register, please click here. The OPI will host another Virtual Job Fair in October.
