A historic estate that was a mainstay of Johnny Cash's family is up for sale, and the sellers have reduced the price for the iconic Tennessee property.

The official listing from Compass Realty says the former Cash family residence is called Dogwood Estate, and it's located on 20 acres of pristine land on Cash Mountain in the Nashville suburb of Hendersonville, Tenn.

The estate was originally listed for $6.25 million in March of 2024. According to online real estate sites, the sellers slashed the price to $5.75 million on May 13. The property remains on the market.

The 2-bedroom, 3-bathroom, 4,232-square-foot primary home boasts vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, elaborate rock work and landscaping that blends in seamlessly with the rural setting, offering easy transitions from indoor to outdoor living.

The listing calls Dogwood Estate a "living testament to the heart and soul of country music history," citing its "breathtaking views that stretch as far as the eye can see."

Johnny Cash and his wife, June Carter Cash, hired renowned builder Braxton Dixon to build the house for their son, John Carter Cash, and it incorporates historical materials, including yellow heart pine floors, stained glass windows imported from Europe and Amish-built stone fireplaces. A thirty-foot cathedral ceiling highlights the main room.
