The Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation has announced that the newly-updated Montana Drought Management Plan is now available online and in print. DNRC says the new plan was 3 years in the making, and represents the collective knowledge and ideas of hundreds of stakeholders, resource managers, and scientists across Montana.

The state also no has a website for drought information and resources:  drought.mt.gov. The website showcases  elements in the plan and will serve as a hub for continued information sharing as officials implement the plan.

The website will be updated as needed to provide current conditions reports and drought resources. Read inspiring stories of adaptation or browse the management recommendations. Dive deep on statewide drought vulnerability or learn more about monitoring and assessment. There’s something for everyone.
