LOCAL SPORTS – “ATHLETE OF THE WEEK”
(Undated) – Our KSEN/K96—Bozeman Trophy Athlete of the Week has been a driving force on the Conrad football team this season!
Jr. Running Back Roscoe Shaw is not only the leading rusher in the 1B District, he has the 4th best numbers in the state with 661 yards.
Despite the loss to Malta last week, we asked Head Coach Roy Goodell if Shaw was a good nomination and he said, “absolutely, he could have been Athlete of the Week the last 3 weeks.
In the Malta game, Shaw carried the ball for 201 yards and Conrad’s only two touchdowns. He added 21 receiving yards and 41 kick return yards for 263 yards total offense.
Coach Goodell says Shaw “gets low, runs with power and hits the hole hard and overall, just understands the position.” One-week earlier Shaw had 200-yards in the win over Fairfield.
Congratulations to our KSEN/K96 – Bozeman Trophy Athlete of the Week, Jr. Roscoe Shaw of the Conrad Cowboys. The Athlete of the Week is sponsored locally by McDonald’s in Cut Bank. Mcdonald’s honors our Athlete’s with two free value meals.
