Step Aside Humans: Montana Needs a Dog Mayor

Election season is upon us, which can be a stressful time for all. No matter what side of the aisle we land on, we could all use a little joy during this time.

A Different Kind Of Politician

We learned today that the tiny town of Idyllwild, California has an extremely unique mayor. His name is Maximus Mueller III and he is a Golden Retriever. he is possibly the most handsome mayor we have ever seen.

He is the third Mayor Max of the town, having taken office after his predecessors passed away. He is assisted in office by his sister, Vice Mayor Meadow, and Deputy Mayors Mikey and Mitzi. Mikey and Mitzi are from the same bloodline as Mayor Max II and served as interim co-mayors after his passing.

More Puppy Politicians

Mayor Max is not the first canine mayor of a town, and we're sure he won't be the last. The cities that have elected dogs to office have ranged in size from 100 people to 800,000 people. All have benefitted from their skill and insight.

Bring Dog Mayors To Montana

This sounds like a town we would love to live in. Honestly, with a kind, friendly dog running it, how could anything go wrong? They could probably do a better job than most of humans who are running for office. They would be kind to everyone and not be as hateful and volatile as some of the politicians we have gotten used to.
