How To Get Your House Ready For Santa On Christmas Eve

It's not too long before Santa makes his annual Big Sky Country visit. Now is a great time to go over your "Santa Check-List" to make sure he has an easy time finding your house.

  1. Make sure you clear a safe spot for Santa to land in your yard. And while you're at it, it's a great time to pick it up a little bit so Santa is impressed with your tidiness.
  2. Make a path for the reindeer to find your house and have a snack while Santa is doing Santa stuff. This one is new to me. It's recommended to mix oats with edible glitter and leave a path near your perfect landing spot. That way the reindeer get a snack and a rest.
  3. Make sure you pick up the house. Nothing takes away Santa's Ho Ho Ho-ing like stepping on a Lego or seeing a messy bedroom. You don't want to lose your nice status last minute.
  4. Leave a nice snack for Santa. We all know he loves cookies and milk. It's ok to try new things for Santa, too. Maybe your favorite Christmas candy. And, always, leave a treat for the reindeer. More on this below.
  5. One thing that Santa just loves is a nice welcome to our home note or a heartfelt thank you note. The clever person does both in the same letter.

Some Of Santa's Favorite Treats From Montana

  1. Huckleberry anything, pies, candy, cocoa, you name it, if it's Huckleberry Santa wants it
  2. A warm, hearty Pasty. Who could resist? Not Santa, that's for sure
  3. A cold Montana made craft beer. He won't drink it that night, but it is one of his favorite ways to wind down after a long night of delivering presents

So while you're out and about getting Christmas wrapped up, don't leave the big guy off of your list.
