First Peoples Buffalo Jump Rock Art Interpretive Hike

First Peoples Buffalo Jump State Park invites you to join their final rock art interpretive hike of the season as part of Great Falls Western Art Week.

Commencing at 10 a.m., this guided hike promises an immersive journey into the ancient art forms of pictographs and petroglyphs.

Led by a knowledgeable park ranger, participants will traverse moderate to strenuous off-trail paths along the park's majestic cliffs, unraveling the mysteries of rock art along the way.

With limited space available for 20 individuals, reservations are essential.

First Peoples Buffalo Jump Art Show and Reception

From noon until 3:30 p.m., the park will host an art show featuring original works by the Kuka Family, including the late Kingsley “King” Kuka, known for his distinctive paintings and lithographs.

Visitors will have the opportunity to view and purchase artwork during the event. Additionally, a raffle organized by the family promises exciting prizes for attendees.

First Peoples Buffalo Jump State Park is conveniently located just 3.5 miles north of Ulm, off Interstate 15 at exit 270.

Visitors can explore park exhibits housed in the visitor center, peruse the gift shop for unique finds, and embark on leisurely hikes along the park's scenic trails.
