Montana Reacts to 2026 Super Bowl and Turning Point USA Halftime Shows

Super Bowl LX is officially in the books and while the focus was intended to be on the game between the Seahawks and Patriots (yawn), the eyes of the world were watching something else... and it wasn't the commercials.

In case you aren't in the loop, Super Bowl 60 took place yesterday (2/8/26) between the Seahawks and Patriots with the Seahawks coming out on top, winning 29-13.

But the most polarizing part of the evening didn't occur during any of the four quarters but rather, during the halftime show. Latin music giant Bad Bunny along with pop stars Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin performed alongside Bunny in the show that was complete with dancers, pop-up set pieces, messages of unity and love, and even a live wedding.

While this was happening, Turning Point USA hosted their own halftime show featuring country stars Gabby Barrett and Lee Brice along with country/rock star Kid Rock. The show featured fireworks, live musicians playing their instruments, and raw performances that left viewers wanting more.

I had both shows streaming during halftime and I must say, both did a great job and accomplished what they set out to do.

A Tale of Two Halftime Shows

On one hand, the Super Bowl gave fans a taste of Latin flare with Bad Bunny at the helm and that's nothing new - anyone else remember Jennifer Lopez and Shakira back in 2020?

On the other, you've got a completely different style of music in country and rock with Kid Rock, Lee Brice, and Gabby Barrett; a collection of artists that is somewhat reminiscent of the Super Bowl XXVIII in 1994 when the halftime show consisted of Clint Black, the Judds, Travis Tritt, and Tanya Tucker.

Point blank: all of the performers in both shows knocked it out of the park.

As a fan of music, this was a total win. Did I fully understand Bad Bunny's lyrics that he sang in Spanish? Nope. Am I the world's biggest Kid Rock or Gabby Barrett fan? Absolutely not.

With that said, I am a lover of all kinds of music and appreciated the artistry displayed by every single artist involved in both shows - even ol' Ricky Martin who I haven't seen "Livin' La Vida Loca" in who knows how many years.
