We are barely into 2026, and already we're hearing about businesses closing down or announcing plans to close.

Why Wendy’s Is Closing Locations In 2026
While the list of restaurants being closed has not been announced or released yet, Ken Cook, who is the interim CEO and Chief Financial Officer, said the reason for the closures was due to them straying too far from everyday value, telling the U.S. Sun:
“One learning from 2025 around value, we swung the pendulum too far towards limited-time price promotions instead of everyday value.”
With that in mind, Wendy's has announced some changes coming to the stores that will remain open in 2026.
Wendy’s New Value Menu Changes For 2026
One of the new changes is that they'll be expanding their biggie bags and even adding in a new combo.
The new combos called Biggie Bites, Biggie Bag, and Biggie Bundle, will be priced at $4, $6, and $8 respectively.
As for the stores here in Montana, well, we don't know which stores will be closing, as Wendy's hasn't put out an official list yet, but if and when we hear anything, you know we'll be updating you.
In the meantime, check out all the other big-name brands that plan on closing down in 2026.
