Montana Woman Fulfills Childhood Dream On “The Price Is Right”

University of Montana Alum Called to Contestants’ Row

I don't know about you, but one of my favorite things about staying home sick from school was getting to watch The Price Is Right.

Like just about every kid who grew up watching the show, I always imagined hearing my name followed by those famous words: "Come on down! You're the next contestant on The Price Is Right." For one Montana woman, that dream recently came true.

Montana Alum and Mom Turn Bucket List Dream Into Reality

University of Montana alum Allison McJannet was the very first contestant called to Contestants' Row during her taping of the show.

She and her mom, Jenny, made the trip because they had both been longtime fans. Allison said it had been on their bucket list for years.

“We’ve just been watching ‘The Price Is Right’ for both of our entire lives, and just on a whim last year, I thought, you know, if we’re ever going to do it, let’s just jump on it.”

Big Win For Montana Contestant On The Price Is Right

Not only did Allison get called down, she also walked away a big winner.

By the end of the show, she had won $36,674 in cash and prizes, including a Martha Stewart ring, cash from Punch-a-Bunch, and a Showcase featuring a trip to Las Vegas, a driving experience, cabaret tickets, a Vespa scooter, and a Volkswagen Taos SUV.

Allison and her mom taped the episode on Aug. 8, 2025, but it didn't air until June 30 of this year. That meant they had to keep the results a secret for nearly a full year.
