When Does Spring Start In Montana?
Technically, spring does not start until March 20th, but here in Montana we’ve been enjoying spring-like weather for a while now.
That said, if you’ve lived here long enough, you know we can still get dumped on with snow in April or even May. It would not be the first time.

NOAA Predicts Montana To Be Warmer & Drier

When it comes to precipitation, the outlook says we are leaning below normal, especially in western Montana.
I hate to even say it out loud, but warmer temperatures mixed with lower moisture aren't exactly great together.
That combination can combine for a rough fire season if things do not turn around. Let’s hope NOAA is wrong and we get some good, steady moisture before summer really kicks in.
