Check The Most Bed Bug Infested Cities Before You Travel
Every year, Orkin releases its annual 50 Most Bed Bug Infested Cities list. The good news? Not a single Montana town is on it.
The not-so-great news is that several cities Montanans love to visit did make the list.
Before we reveal the cities, here is what to check when you arrive at your hotel.
How To Check Your Hotel Room For Bed Bugs
First rule: keep your luggage closed. Better yet, leave it in the hallway or bathroom while you inspect the room.
Here are a few quick things to check:
- Look for small, brown, flat, oval-shaped bugs about the size of an apple seed.
- If you do not see bugs, check for tiny ink like stains on the sheets or mattress.
- Inspect the curtains, cushions, sheets, and along the mattress seams.
- Keep your luggage off the floor at all times.
- Before you pack up to leave, double-check your bags so you do not bring anything home
- When you get back, toss all dryer-safe clothes in the dryer on high heat for 30 to 45 minutes.
Now let’s see which cities across America made this year’s list.
