Congressional Primary Debates – Live on KSEN-am & K96-fm

Democratic and Republican candidates for Congress will meet in a series of four debates, beginning this Thursday evening. KSEN-am and KZIN-fm (K96) will carry all four of the one-hour debates, which are co-sponsored by Montana Farmers Union, U.S. Cattlemen's Association, Montana Cattlemen's Association, and the Northern Plains Resource Council. All debates are open to the public, and will be broadcast via the Northern Ag Network.

Following the 2020 U.S. Census, Montana was awarded a second Congressional seat. The final map approved last November splits our north central Montana coverage area, with Glacier County and part of Pondera County in District 1, and eastern Pondera, Toole, Liberty, and Teton counties in District 2.

Here is the schedule for the debates and the candidates who have agreed to participate:

Republicans, District 2 - Thursday, April 21  7:00pm from Miles Community College in Miles City.

Democrats, District 2 Thursday, April 28 7:00pm at MSU-Northern in Havre

Democrats, District 1: Friday, May 6  7:30pm at MSU in Bozeman

Republicans, District 1:  Friday, May 20  7:00pm at Whitefish Performing Arts Center in Whitefish
