Billings Clinic and Logan Health announced today that they have signed a non-binding letter of intent to explore uniting the two organizations into one integrated Montana-based health system. According to a joint press release, the two not-for-profit organizations have a shared goal to enhance access, service and quality health care for the region.

The statement cited what it called "unprecedented post-pandemic challenges" affecting the health care industry, including increased expenses, workforce challenges, accelerating technology investment needs, and health equity concerns. By joining, the two geographically complementary organizations say they be better positioned to adapt to the rapidly changing health care environment, sustain and grow services, and meet the needs of local families.
