(CHOTEAU) – Our KSEN/K96—Bozeman Trophy Athlete of the Week was described to us as one who has played behind great leaders but now has become the leader who is truly leading by example, on and off the court.

Choteau Sr. Ella Peach matched up against players from CJI, Great Falls, Townsend, Boulder, Conrad and 3 Forks on her home Choteau courts Saturday.   She also played some matches in Great Falls on Friday and when all was said and done, Ella had a 5-0 singles record and also helped win two doubles matches.

Peach was a State Qualifier last year where she placed 6th overall and Choteau Head Tennis Coach Carla May says her final match there last year was a testament to her character when the wind came up, it was spitting snow and Ella just kept fighting thru it to win that final match.

Saturday in Choteau was almost like a repeat as she’d already played 6 games, was ready to be done and got down 0-3, but was able to dig down and come back to win 6-4.   Coach May says her “determination, and never quit attitude is what makes her a great leader, player and teammate.”

Congratulations to our KSEN/K96—Bozeman Trophy Athlete of the week, Choteau Sr. Ella Peach. The Athlete of the Week is sponsored locally by McDonald’s in Cut Bank.  McDonald’s honors our Athlete’s with two free value meals.

KSEN encourages, Coaches, parents, fans, teammates to nominate Athletes of the Week when you feel they have performed above average.
