...you make Julia Child's legendary Beef Borguignon in a crock pot!  (With all due apologies to Jeff Foxworthy, and probably Julia Child, too)

My wife and I are big fans of the movie "Julie and Julia"; so much so that we purchased a Julia Child cookbook and have tried a few recipes, including her legendary beef borguignon. The first time we cooked it, we followed the directions to the letter, and the result was fantastic! So I don't know what possessed my wife Ronni to toss the ingredients into a slow cooker and try it that way, but it turned out really good! The taste was a little different (which may have had to do with the choice of red wine), but otherwise, it was a fine meal. I polished off with a half glass of Mirrisou pinot noir (a good choice with beef borguignon, by the way!) and one of my friend Dan's root beer cookies. A meal fit for a redneck if I've ever heard of one! (Except for maybe macaroni and cheese pizza with little cut up hot dogs, eh, Amber?)

Knowing her joy of cooking and her insistence of not being afraid to try new things or to mess up, I wonder what Julia would think of crock pot beef borguignon?
