Quick, which has the best pizza in America, New York or Chicago?

The answer is neither.

TripAdvisor polled its travelers to create a list of the 10 best cities for pizza and neither New York nor Chicago could claim the top spot. In fact, the Windy City couldn’t even land on the list at all.

In what comes as a surprise, San Diego took home the prize as best city for pizza, with one respondent writing, “The pizza was just as good as being home in New York.” Which makes you think New York should be higher, right? Well, not quite. The Big Apple had to do make do with a fourth-place finish, right behind Boston.
