t's not "all happening" on the field back in Indianapolis...there's a lot going on for Super Bowl Sunday right here in the Golden Triangle. Boy Scout Troop 555 and Cub Scout Troop 552 will be holding their annual pancake breakfast Sunday morning from 8 to 1PM at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Shelby with all proceeds going towards local scouting events. Over at the First Baptist Church Activity Center, there's going to be a Football game Championship Party beginning Sunday afternoon at 4. Up north, the American Legion will be having a Super Bowl pancake breakfast Sunday morning from 9 to 1PM at the hall in Sweetgrass. Down in Conrad, the Moose Lodge is throwing a "Members AND Guests" Super Bowl Party beginning at 3 Super Bowl Sunday afternoon. The Conrad Moose has a 51 inch TV and there will be drink specials all day on Sunday. They invite you to bring some finger foods to share, wear your team colors and enjoy the best view of the game in Conrad. Speaking of which...and here's my question...granted, my middle name is "Sports" and not that I'm so smart, but I do believe I have a vast view and understanding of any and all sports. That said, could someone please tell me why, if the New York Giants are playing the New England Patriots, should not the game be originating from either New York or Boston? Why are they playing in Indianapolis. Our local teams always play in one town or another...they don't travel to another state. As far as I know, they have some kind of big ol' car race in the Hoosier state, but that's not until spring!?
