A little cold weather certainly doesn't dampen our enthusiasm when comes to getting out and enjoying our weekends here in the Last Best Place. And talk about a good antidote for the chilly weather...Quality Life Concepts in Conrad is putting on a chili dinner this evening (Friday) at the Conrad Moose Lodge. There's going to be a silent auction going on to boot!  Here in Shelby, Girl Scout Troop 3100 is having a pancake breakfast tomorrow morning (Saturday) from 8 to 11 at the Shelby Methodist Church. Breakfast will be selling like HOTCAKES everyone is welcome to attend. Over in Chester tomorrow, the Missoula Children's Theatre will be doing their production of "The Tortoise Versus The Hare" with two performances, one at 3PM, the other at 7PM at the CJI auditorium. Tomorrow afternoon there's going to be a fund raiser for Ken Flamond at Billi Hooks Hide Away with a silent auction from 2 until 4 and then a live auction from 4 until 6. The auctions will be followed by dinner and a "live" Texas Hold Em tournament. All proceeds are going toward Ken's medical expenses. St. Michaels Catholic Church in Conrad is having their harvest dinner this Sunday from 11:30 until 2...and speaking of Conrad...the Golden West Lutheran Church 23 miles east of Conrad on Sollid Road is set for their annual Praise and Thanks celebration beginning at 2. Bundle up, drive carefully, and enjoy a November weekend here in the Golden Triangle.
